St. Bogorodica Church was built in 1835 and was the cathedral church in Skopje. It was also known as the protector of the city.

St. John Kaneo church 13th c. – most known for its scenic location, standing on a cliff over Lake Ohrid (UNESCO WHS). Notable about the cute architecture is Armenian influence in the zig-zag line of the roof of the dome.

Heraklea Linkestis was founded by the Macedonian King Phillip II in the middle of the 4th century BC, but most of the monument that can be seen here are from the Roman and the early christian period.
